  6. Make ready 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Get 1 tsp red chilli powder

  9. Take 3-4 tbsp malai/ cream

Instructions to make Aloo methi malai sabji:
  1. Peel, cut and wash potatoes properly. Chop the potatoes into small pieces.
  2. Chopped the fenugreek leaves and wash it properly, then slightly press and squeeze to remove water.
  3. Heat oil into pressure cooker and add garlic paste and saute for a while, then add asfoitida, chopped potatoes and salt as require in potato. Mix well and saute for 2-3min. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute for a while. Now, close the cooker lid and cook for a whistle on medium to low heat.
  4. Now open after one whistle, after removing the heat/ pressure from it. And add washed fenugreek leaves and add salt as require. Then roast and cook for 4-5min. Then add cream and cook for more 1 min.
  5. Now transfer into another bowl and serve with roti and buttermilk.

Wash methi leaves and use the tender stems alone. Discard the thick stems and chop the rest finely. Pressure cook potatoes, peel the skin and chop it into cubes.
