The vada pav recipe is made of a spicy potato filling deep fried in a gram flour batter. Along with a hot and spicy garlic chutney, batata vada pav is served inside a small "Ladi Pav". Steps to make Vada pav:
  1. Add oil to kadhai. Add green chilli garlic paste and stir it for 2 minutes. Then add turmeric powder. Add this tempering to boiled and mashed potatoes. Mix it well. Add salt and again mix it well. Make balls of this stuffing
  2. Add salt and baking soda to gram flour. Add water and make batter. Batter should not be very thick or very flowy.
  3. Fry vada till becomes crispy. Serve vada with pav, fried green chillies, red chilli garlic peanut chutney, sliced onion, green chutney and Imli khajoor chutney.
