And though I rarely use them in stir fries, I also pre cook things like pumpkin. Add the oil, soy sauce, and cornstarch, and mix until well combined. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Drain in a colander, then immediately immerse in ice water for several minutes until cold to stop the cooking process.
