Instructions to make Punjabi chole:
  1. Add chopped onion in jar and grind it to smooth paste, do the same process with tometo.
  2. In pressure cooker add oil in it then add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle then add Asafotida then add prepared onion paste, saute it well until the rawness of onion gets over.
  3. Then add chilli, garlic and ginger paste saute it well.
  4. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder, Amchur powder, salt as per taste and saute the masala in oil very nicely.
  5. Then add tometo paste and add honey and Kasuri Mathi,mix all together. Then add soaked chickpea.
  6. Then add 1.5cup of water, add garam masala and mix well.
  7. Close the lid and pressure cook the chole for 6-7 whistle on medium flame.
  8. Cool down the cooker completely until the pressure release. And open it it's ready to serve garnish it with some coriander leaves.
  9. Enjoy the Punjabi chole with paratha and rice.
