No fancy spices particularly required to. Paneer Bhurji - scrambled Indian cottage cheese with onion, tomatoes and spices. This is actually one of the first paneer dishes that I learnt to cook, just because it was so simple. Bhurji means scrambled so here the paneer is crumbled and then cooked with onion, tomato and spices.
Instructions to make Paneer Capsicum/ Paneer Bhurji:
- Heat oil in a wok and add the jeera.
- Add the onion and saute it till it is translucent.
- Add the green chilly and tomatoes.
- Cook for a few min till the time the tomatoes are cooked.
- Add the paneer and put a few tbsp of water.
- Add the capsicum.
- Add the salt and cover. Cook on Medium flame for 2-3 min.
- Remove the lid and let the water evaporate.
- Serve with Bhakri, roti or paratha.
Add crumbled paneer and cook until everything gets blended well with the masala. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati or any Indian Bread. You can also use it as a stuffing for chapati. Grated paneer or scrambled paneer sauteed with onion, tomato, capsicum, and few spices. Here I am sharing two methods of making paneer bhurji.
