- Get 1 cup Moong Dal
- Get 1 cup Ghee
- Take 1 1/2 cup Milk
- Get as required Sugar
- Take 1/2 tsp Cardimom powder - half tsp

- Get 4-5 Almonds
This lentils base deserts is nutritious rich and tastes creamy. This is an easy and quick version of moong dal halwa / moong dal sheera. I followed this recipe from Tarla Dalal's website. Usually moong dal halwa takes more time to cook.
Steps to make Moong Dal Sheera:
- Take a water in bowl add moong dal and wash it nicely
- Then put it side and soak for 4-5 hrs
- After 4-5 hrs grind the moong dal and make paste
- Then take ghee in pan on slow flame
- When ghee gets heated add paste in it and str till the dal gets little golden colour
- Add milk and stir for 2 mins then add sugar and mix it well 5-6 mins
- Then add cardimom powder in it and mix well
- When moong dal paste starts to leave the ghee then put it in the bowl or plate
- Garnish with almond and cashew nuts
- Your moong dal sheera is ready
Moong Dal Tadka is a simple Indian dal made with split petite yellow lentils. Tempered with mustard, cumin, garlic & curry leaves this dal is also vegan! How to Make Moong Ki Dal Ka Halwa.
